A simple click to plan meetings at the Molino Stucky Hilton Venice
The luxury 5-star hotel in Venice has launched a practical and fast system to plan meetings online, directly from its website.



The Molino Stucky Venice, located on the island of Giudecca and housed in a former 19th-century mill and barn, has launched an innovative meeting planning system, to facilitate bookings at the city’s largest hotel conference centre, which covers an area of 2,600 sqm.

“From 2009, thanks to the Meeting Room Planner system, it is possible to plan meetings directly via your PC through the hotel’s website”, explains Pia Kroon, Director of Sales. You can select the room, choose the furniture, arrange it on a digital room plan and send it all to the hotel, which on the day in question, will supply the room exactly as requested.

“Our conference centre is considered a pearl in the Venice market”, Kroon continues. “As well as unusually extensive conference spaces for the city and cutting-edge technology, we offer a dedicated staff of 20 people and an events manager, who provide constant assistance. All this makes the hotel an ideal location for any type of event, and in the two years since it has re-opened, it has hosted a large number for companies from a great variety of sectors”.

The most recent include two trade fairs: one dedicated to luxury, which exhibited next-generation light carbon-fibre helicopters, dream cars such as Ferraris, yachts, precious fabrics and handmade jewellery, and another focusing on to the last developments in technology, staged in the meeting spaces and communal areas. Also worthy of note was the medical research convention, which brought 1,000 international delegates to the centre for four days, the largest organised in the hotel to date and videoconferenced worldwide. “We also offer a wide range of post-congress activities, such as the gondola lesson, which provides theoretical and practical training in the ancient art of the gondolier”.

The hotel has already put together two winter meeting packages: in November 2009, rooms from EUR 179 with breakfast and a meeting package at EUR 80 per person, inclusive of meeting room hire, two coffee breaks and business lunch, tax included.
It is running the same offer in from December to February 2010, but with rooms at EUR 149.
