Located in a restored medieval hamlet on the Chianti hills, the property has 74 suites, a villa, a central square for events and outdoor swimming pools with water features and a solarium.
The suites preserve the architectural characteristics of a noble residence of the Tuscan countryside, with terracotta floors and wooden beams, but interpreted in a contemporary style, based on interior design by HBA and architect Eric Egan.
The villa commands a spectacular view that takes in the whole hamlet, enjoys direct access to the spa area and offers services such as a personal chef and butler.
Castel Monastero’s gourmet restaurant is now under the supervision of chef Gordon Ramsay, who has already amassed ten Michelin stars, and who will be partnered by Alessandro Delfanti, a rising star in Italian cuisine. A wine bar has been installed in the castle’s cellar, dating back to the 11th century, where guests can sample the most prestigious Tuscan and Italian wines.
One of the strengths of Castel Monastero is its 1,000 sqm spa: housed in two typical country farmhouses with large windows, it has two pools, a water course and emotional showers.
