Palazzo Querini Stampalia, located just a short walk from Saint Mark’s Square in Venice, is at once an historic palace, cultural foundation, library, museum, centre for worshops, and space for contemporary art exhibitions. It is now also making its large spaces available to private events.
The ground floor includes the garden and a large space restored by Carlo Scarpa for conferences and exhibitions, the cafeteria and the hall, where buffets can be held, in a 445-sqm area beautifully created by architect Mario Botta and a breakout room equipped for 20 people.
The first floor houses the 800 sqm library with furnishings dating back to the end of the 19th century, while the second floor contains what was once the apartment of the Patriarch of Venice, now a 700-sqm museum space. Finally, rooms and halls covering a total 500 sqm are located on the third floor. A 160-sqm room completely renovated by Mario Botta is set to reopen by the summer.
