The company that manages Riva del Garda’s trade fair and conference complex, on the northern shore of Lake Garda, is organising an increasing number of international congresses, providing a comprehensive service.
Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, the company that manages Riva del Garda’s trade fair and conference facilities, continues to eye international events. “Our conference centre, which commands a spectacular view of the lake, regularly hosts both national and international companies and institutions”, explains conference manager Serena Longhi.
In the last few months, the conference centre has been chosen for two important events: in June 2008, the IV Italian Conference for Tourism, the country’s most important occasion for the government and the regions to agree on tourism strategies, and, in October 2008, the High Level Tourism Committee Meeting of the OECD (Organisation for Economic Co-operation and Development).
“In both cases, Riva del Garda Fierecongressi, with the support of its agency Rivatour, provided an all-round service, which included the event management and staging, secretariat, catering service, hotel bookings, transfers and post-conference programmes”, Longhi continues.
Participants at the OECD summit, numbering 150 including tourism ministers and delegates from all over the world, had the opportunity to taste local specialities during the gala dinner held in the exhibition spaces of Mart, Rovereto’s modern and contemporary art museum, 20 km from Riva del Garda, in a unique atmosphere, surrounded by the works of internationally-renowned artists.
“The outlook for this year is very exciting, judging by the numerous conferences already booked, which include Diagnostic Surgical Pathology 2009 and the European Archaeological Conference”, Longhi concludes. |
