The 4-star set in an historic hamlet outside Pisa opens a lounge bar and a pizzeria, available for corporate events.
The Calamidoro Hotel has further widened its already extensive offer. The 4-star located in Pontedera, 25 km from Pisa, consisting of an 18th century hamlet around an old manner house, has recently opened two new premises: the Pane & Rose pizzeria, which can host cabaret, flamenco, can-can or belly dancing shows and DJs for any event; and, for the summer, the Campo dei Fiori open-air lounge bar, equipped with jacuzzi, and ideal for aperitifs, welcome and after-dinner cocktails.
“These two new spots add to our proposals for the meeting and incentive sector, now our core business”, explains general manager Paola Quagli. “Our main strength is the atmosphere here, which reflects the old Tuscan tradition in room furnishings with pastel colours and wrought iron. The meeting rooms, set in the villa’s old cellars and all with natural light, also have a special ambience”.
The hotel furthermore boasts the Calandrino restaurant, which serves typical Tuscan dishes, the Churrascheria, ideal for informal dinners with table dancing, the Steak House wine bar and the Shop Ville with spa, three swimming pools, five-a-side football pitch, disco and piano bar. “Our extensive outdoor spaces, with the lake, swimming pool, archery facilities and gardens, make us a popular choice for team-building events”, Quagli continues. “Various activities can be organised here, including painting courses, a simulated attack on the castle, dancing contests, all organised in partnership with DMCs and PCOs. We also offer canoeing on the Arno, trips in classic cars commanding panoramic views among the hills, and rides in hot-air balloons”.
