This target was met in July at the association’s general meeting in Perugia. The Italian chapter is now the second largest in Europe in terms of member numbers.
In the run-up to hosting the MPI European Meetings & Events Conference (EMEC), which will take place from 1 to 3 March 2009 in Turin, MPI Italia has launched the Chapter Ambassador Program to improve relations with other MPI chapters.
“We asked each of the 69 MPI chapters around the world to choose a member to handle relations with us, exchanging information and experiences, and looking into common initiatives and partnerships”, says chairman Sergio Moscati. “MPI Italia will also nominate its own ambassador for other chapters in the near future”.
