The events venue in Rome’s Eur district is set to become even more hi-tech thanks to an impressive lighting system and better acoustics.
Spazio Novecento’s second year of existence has been one of improvement. The contemporary and hi-tech multifunctional venue is situated in Rome’s Eur quarter, the conference district in the south of the city, in Palazzo dell’Arte Antica, an example of Italian rationalist architecture that also houses public and private offices.
“We are aiming for technological integration, by installing a third motorised lighting structure with 16 more lighting bodies, the type of equipment generally used in television studios”, explains Daniele Aprile, manager of Spazio Novecento, together with Stefano Spezia. “We will continue with the measures already in progress to improve the acoustics so we can host live concerts, and are planning a refit with unique pieces designed exclusively for us. We want to offer the city a venue that can host events that up to now have struggled to find a versatile space with cutting-edge technology able to accommodate them”.
An objective that has been met, judging by the many events held at Spazio Novecento in the year and a half since it opened. These have included the Hello Kitty fashion show, the launch of Tiscali TV attended by more than 500 managers from the television business, the Smart party to present the two new models Yin & Yang, the presentation of the Citroen C3 Gold by Pinko, and the events of Lucky Strike, Visionnaire, Nokia, SwishJeans, RedBull Flight Club, NBA Night, Philips Aurea and Pfizer.
“We are also working on partnerships with local institutions, with a view to opening our space to cultural events that cover all forms of Italian art, from painting to cinema”, adds Stefano Spezia. “At the end of October, we hosted some of the events linked to the International Film Festival held here in Rome. We are really committed to making this multifunctional space a success, and our aim is to stage events for our clients that are truly unique”.

The idea of equipping Spazio Novecento was conceived by two managers, Daniele Aprile and Stefano Spezia of HD Eventi, a company that has been operating for ten years in event organisation, television and theatre production and entertainment. The venue has a surface area of 1,000 sqm, divided into two modular rooms on the ground and first floors and two spectacular terraces. Spazio Novecento also offers catering, simultaneous translation and event design and staging services.
