In June, the Naples-based PCO opened a branch in Rome, with a view to gaining a foothold in new market segments: artistic and cultural events.
The year 2008 was an important one for Andromeda. “In June, we opened our Rome office”, explains owner Tiziana D’Intino. “We did this to gain new market prospects, particularly in artistic and cultural events; in this area, the city offers unrivalled opportunities, as it boasts companies specialising in the art and entertainments sectors, and hundreds of events every day including private views, presentations, exhibitions, films and music shows”.
The agency is not however neglecting the market in which it has been active for almost twenty years, that of medical-scientific conferences. “We are currently working very hard on the Oncology World Congress, to be held in Rome in 2009, which will be attended by experts from all over the world”, continues D’Intino.
The conferences managed by the PCO scheduled to take place by the end of this year include: in November, the Course in Peripheral Intervention at the Hotel de la Ville in Avellino, with live link to an operating theatre; and in December, at the Ramada Naples Hotel in Naples, the Safety in Anaesthesia Conference, organised with the University of Naples Federico II.
As well as organising turn-key conferences and events, Andromeda is today also active in market research, integrated communication and support services, such as ticket office and providing hostesses and interpreters.
