New office in Spain for AIM Group
The Italian PCO has for some years pursued a European expansion strategy. Its international business is not limited to the organisation of international conferences, but also includes offering its know-how directly on various European markets. Following Brussels, Paris and Vilnius, it has now opened AIM Spain in Madrid.

“The AIM Group is today one of Europe’s largest conference organiser companies” comment Gianluca Buongiorno and Marino Lena, chairman and CEO of AIM International respectively. “We have capitalised on the great experience we have acquired in Italy and exported it to other markets and contexts: the fact that we have replicated this success abroad shows that we have a winning strategy”.

In tandem with income and organisational growth (more than 300 employees in Europe and revenues of EUR 80 million), the AIM Group is continuing its growth strategy through partnerships with other companies.

As well as its traditional partner, Publi Creations, with a presence in Monaco stretching back over two decades, the AIM Group has recently acquired a majority stake in Conbaltas UAB, one of the largest conference organisers in the Baltic states.

In the incentive travel and corporate events segment, its partner is Italy’s MGR Leader’s, managed by the Alessandro Rosso Group: on the back of this positive experience, the two companies have exchanged minority stakes in each other.

“By developing structures in Europe and forming partnership agreements, we can increasingly spread our presence on the international markets”, explains Patrizia Semprebene, managing director of AIM Congress and recently elected chairman of IAPCO.
