The 4-star masseria has opened an international cookery school with courses for corporate groups. New spa to open in July.

The year 2008 is set to be one of development for the 4-star Grand Hotel Tenuta Moreno, housed in an 18th century masseria (traditional farmhouse) in Salento, Puglia, and set in a large park of age-old grapevines and olive trees.
“In March, we opened an international cookery school, equipped with various modular kitchens, in which, as well as extremely high-level lessons for chefs from all over the world, we organise courses for corporate groups, for a maximum of 50 participants”, says general manager Pierangelo Argentieri. “Our mission is to teach people how to prepare typical Puglian dishes from scratch, using only locally-sourced fish, vegetables and meat”.
The other development is the opening in July of a 300 sqm spa, which will offer treatments based on the olive oil of this region.
The Grand Hotel Tenuta Moreno is also a popular venue for events and meetings: the conference centre comprises a large 550 sqm multi-purpose hall, which can be divided into five rooms, with wi-fi connection and audio-video equipment, able to seat up to 450 people. In addition, there are five executive rooms for working lunches, gala dinners, exhibitions and receptions.
Events hosted by the Grand Hotel Tenuta Moreno include a conference organised by the UN and presentations of Mercedes-Benz, Lancia and Fiat models. “We can manage the whole event and post conference activities, for example tours in vintage cars or on vespas in the nearby city of Lecce, or providing a catering service in other event venues”, Argentieri explains.
