The hotel chain is proving to be one of the most dynamic in Italy, after bucking the market growth trend in 2007: last year, it booked sales of EUR 55 million, up 7.14% in absolute terms compared to the previous year, and up 5.13% on a like-for-like basis. “We are very pleased with our results for 2007”, says Elena David, CEO of UNA Hotels & Resorts. “Since we began operations in 2000, we have maintained a steady growth rate, increasing sales from around EUR 30 million to the current EUR 55 million. Now, after two years of consolidation and getting our new properties operating at full capacity, we are ready to launch another phase of development, starting with the opening of the UNA Hotel Rome by the end of 2008”. The group has three new hotels planned for this year: the UNA Hotel Venice, which is already operating, the UNA Hotel Versilia in Lido di Camaiore, Tuscany, set to open in June, and the UNA Hotel Rome, which the group plans to inaugurate by the end of the year. The UNA Hotel Venice, located in the Cannaregio district and overlooking the Rio Santa Sofia Canal, is five minutes’ walk from the Rialto Bridge and ten minutes from Saint Mark’s Square. It is housed in the restored Palazzo De Benedetti, and boasts 37 rooms elegantly furnished in classic Venetian style. The UNA Hotel Versilia has 69 rooms, of which 42 are suites, and 30 apartments of various kinds. Its facilities include a 280-cover restaurant, outside and indoor spaces dedicated to wellness and sport, and a seven-room conference centre with a total capacity of 700. The new UNA Hotel Roma, near Termini railway station, will have 197 guestrooms, three meeting rooms, a restaurant and a bar, spread over six floors.
