The wholly Italian-owned Starhotels is launching an investment programme that will incorporate structural work, modernisation and technological upgrades for its hotels.
The chain’s portfolio consists of 20 4-star properties in Italy’s largest cities, a boutique hotel in Paris and a luxury one in New York.
The work in progress includes the complete renovation of its Venice hotel, Starhotels Splendid Suisse, which has been renamed Splendid Venice and will be one of the most beautiful in the chain’s portfolio. Other planned projects include restoring the Starhotels Savoia Excelsior Palace in Trieste to its original glory, and completing the new hotel in Milan, next to the Starhotels Rosa and beside the Duomo, which will become the largest in the historic centre. “We are encouraged by the results to continue our quest for excellence and our investment programme. Our operating results prove that this strategy is effective” comments Elisabetta Fabri, CEO of Starhotels and president of Starhotels International.
