The 5-star hotel in the centre of Rome offers business clients a fully-equipped mobile office, which can be moved wherever it is needed around the building.

From November 2007, Friendly Office, a desk equipped to provide assistance at a meeting or event, will be available at the central InterContinental De La Ville Rome. “This is a real mobile office, which can be placed anywhere in the hotel hosting an event, endowed with everything that you’d generally find in an office: PC, printer, telephone line, wireless coverage, and even secretarial services”, explains resident manager Giuseppe Vincelli.
The luxury hotel, located in an 18th century building near the Spanish Steps, boasts 27 terraces offering a magnificent panoramic view of the capital. “In spring 2008, we will open the Emperor’s Terrace on the sixth floor, currently undergoing renovation work, for events of up to 100 participants. The idea is to make it a lively meeting place, a location for informal get-togethers”, adds Vincelli.
Another jewel in the hotel’s crown is the La Piazzetta De La Ville restaurant, which, with two rooms providing 130 covers, specialises in the cuisine of different parts of Italy: for events, it proposes themed menus, with typical dishes from one region chosen for all meals throughout the day, including coffee breaks. “Gastronomy also plays a central role in activities held alongside meetings. For example, we recently had 30 managing directors of the various offices of a large multinational specialising in human resources go on a food and wine treasure hunt, and held quizzes on typical Italian dishes at different points of the day”.
