Fiuggi’s luxury 5-star hotel, just 60 km from Rome, is offering two promotion packages for the winter, with events organisers in mind.
 
Until 31 March 2008, the Grand Hotel Palazzo della Fonte is offering its Meetings Special . “There are two packages” explains general manager, Gaetano Torino. “We’ve called the first one B&B, at 150 euros per person for an overnight stay with breakfast included, which we thought would be suitable for anyone attending an event hosted outside of our hotel. The second is the 24-hour package, from 215 euros per person, and includes an overnight stay, breakfast, the hire of one of our 11 conference rooms, lunch and two coffee breaks”.
The hotel is part of the Le Méridien chain and an affiliate of The Leading Hotels of the World brand. It is located in Fiuggi, a small medieval town about 60 kilometres from Rome, famous for the curative properties of its low-mineral content spa waters, and a popular venue for international events. Just some of the names that came here in 2007 include Shell Petroil, Exxon Mobil, Lexus, Trelleborg, and financial companies like BNL, 3I and ABN Amro.
“In the near future we will host an international conference dedicated to the treatment of multiple sclerosis, promoted by the European Charcot Foundation, as well as Super Car, which has actually been one of our most glamorous events over recent years, organised by the British Supercar Club and enjoying the support of sponsors like Land Rover, Pirelli and Bugatti-Lancaster to raise funds for UK children affected by AIDS” adds Torino.
The reasons behind this success? The actual milieu: an Art Nouveau hotel with Murano chandeliers, marble and stucco decor, quality paintings, brocade drapes and antique carpets. Nor should the Medical Beauty Center be overlooked, with 1,500 sqm of space and a wealth of treatments available.
