Hotel Invest Italiana, the group that manages nine hotels in Rome, Milan, Naples and Florence with a total of 1,600 rooms, has just added another to its collection: the St. George, a 5-star luxury hotel with 64 rooms, comprising 23 Superior, 35 De Luxe and 6 Junior Suites. This boutique hotel is located in the heart of Rome, among the antique shops of Via Giulia, and combines an historic building with modern design. The minimalist design extends throughout the hotel: to the Library, which creates a timeless atmosphere with soft and discreet background music; to the Cigar Lounge, for connoisseurs of handmade cigars; and finally to the Wine Bar, where guests can sample 120 of the finest wines. At the top of the building, the highly atmospheric Terrazza Rosé has just been opened, offering an extensive list of rosé wines and champagnes.
St. George’s gourmet restaurant plays host to Italian cuisine themed evenings, at which guests can do more than just eat. Aided by prestigious chefs, they can test their skills at preparing dishes from Rome, Bologna or Sardinia. And, for those of a less culinary bent, there are live music shows and packages including trips to Rome’s historic centre, the Vatican or out of town, as far as Tivoli. For those looking to relax, the hotel also has an exclusive spa that recalls ancient Rome, with a heated swimming pool, sauna, Turkish bath, hydromassage, rooms for aromatherapy and chromotherapy and a variety of treatments.
