Thanks to an agreement with GEASAR, the company that manages the airport, the agency is using its flexible, customizable spaces. In particular, Turmo Travel can count on a 300-seat conference room and three smaller rooms seating from 50 to 120, which the airport has contracted out to Sassari University, and which are complete with an encircling balcony that can be used as exhibition space.
“We are suggesting the airport spaces mainly to the automotive sector” says Nino Ciaccio, general manager of Turmo Travel. “The Olbia Costa Smeralda airfield connects Sardinia with major European cities, making the island very accessible. Apart from this, there are large areas for showing or parking cars that are then used by journalists or dealers for test drives; lastly, an event in the airport will attract the guest’s attention right from the moment they touch down. Of course the streets of Sardinia, rising and falling through stretches that roll straight through breathtaking panoramas, will do the rest. Just a few kilometres from the airport there are luxurious resorts run by the Starwood, Sol Meliá, Iti Hotels and Delphina chains.”
The automotive sector is just one of DMC Turmo Travel’s specialities: they also work extensively with finance and insurance companies,” underscores Ciaccio. “We are recognized for our skills and knowledge of the territory.”
