Spazio Novecento covers an area of 850 sqm within Palazzo dell’Arte Antica, which stands on the beautiful Piazza dell’Obelisco in the Eur district.
Thanks to its modular furnishings, Spazio Novecento can host any type of event: conferences, conventions, fashion shows, exhibitions, television sets, film showings and theatrical performances.
The location can seat up to 600 people for musical performances, ballet and cabaret. The stage, the size of which may be altered, has a sophisticated audio and lights system that can cope with even the most demanding shows in terms of technical and set design requirements.
Eur is a district in the south of Rome, built to host the Universal Exhibition in 1942. It is one of the best examples of modern architecture and town planning in the city, and has even become a tourist attraction (information on guided tours at www.romaeur.it). It is within easy reach of Fiumicino airport and the new Rome trade fair, and has a significant number of conference venues and hotels, with a total of almost 5,000 rooms in 4- and 5-star hotels.
A new conference centre with a capacity of 10,000 will be built here by 2010. It will have a hotel with 500 rooms, while the improvement of infrastructure in the quarter will ensure easy access: parking for a further 2,600 cars; a heliport; a shuttle service to the city centre.
