TUIfly chooses Milan Orio al Serio airport and opens new routes

From 25 March 2007, with the start of the summer timetable, the hub for North Italy of the German low-cost airline created by the merger of Hapag-Lloyd Express and Hapagfly will move from Milan Malpensa to Milan Orio al Serio.

The company has also announced new developments for the summer timetable, namely the opening of four new routes: Leipzig-Milan Orio al Serio, Hamburg-Olbia, Frankfurt-Bari, Hanover-Rimini.

The new Leipzig -Milan Orio al Serio route will be launched on 25 March 2007, and will fly four times a week (Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday). The airline already flies to Milan Orio al Serio from Hanover and Stuttgart.

From 28 April 2007 the airline will open a new link between Hamburg and Olbia, flying twice a week (Tuesday and Saturday). This supplements existing connections between Olbia and Cologne/Bonn, Hanover, Munich and Stuttgart, and from 2007 there should be flights from Düsseldorf and Frankfurt.

Flights from Frankfurt to Bari route will begin on 29 March 2007, leaving twice a week (Thursday and Sunday). The airline already offers connections between Bari and  Munich, Stuttgart and Cologne.

The airline is also launching a Hanover-Rimini flight operating once a week on Thursday from 12 July to 6 September.
